Policy
The Manual of Policies and Procedures (MOPP) sets out QUT'S policies and prescribed practices relevant to the University's management, decision-making, organisational structure and administrative functions. The MOPP includes sections dealing with administration and governance, human resources, teaching and learning, research and development, student services, information resources, financial management, and physical facilities. It also includes terms of reference and membership details of University committees.
Decision-making processes
The decision-making processes of the University include those of the QUT Council and the University Academic Board. Details of QUT's committee structure and meeting schedules are available from Governance Services which supports Council and its committees.
Financial management practice and procedures
The Financial Management Practice and Procedures Manual describes the processing practices and policies in relation to budget and financial transactions at QUT.
Corporate identity, web policy and standards
QUT's corporate identity standards prescribe the methods of communicating visually which will ensure that the University is consistently projected as a professional, reliable and contemporary organisation. The Corporate Identity Manual explains the method of standardising the University's visual presentation in a number of applications. Typography, colours, the logo, stationery, publications, advertising and signage are covered in this guide.
The Web Manual describes QUT's corporate identity, policy and standards, and sets out the minimum requirements for corporate identity, navigation and metadata for QUT's websites.
Assurance and risk management
The specific purpose of Assurance and Risk Management Services is to assist the University to achieve its corporate goals by providing independent analysis, appraisals, counsel and information concerning the University’s systems of internal control, effectiveness of the risk management, and the quality of performance of the University. Assistance in the form of independent assessment and advice is provided to managers to effectively discharge their responsibilities.
