International engagement
QUT has nearly 6700 international students from more than 90 countries, out of a total student population of 40,000. International students make important contributions to QUT and the wider community, particularly by enhancing cultural and social diversity.
Faculties are encouraged to build international components into their teaching programs and to participate in international research initiatives and projects.
From 2009, language programs will be delivered through an alliance between QUT, the University of Queensland and Griffith University.
QUT employs staff members from many countries. Most of our academic staff have worked offshore and have international qualifications.
