Plastic Ink

www.plasticink.com.au

Plastic Ink is a Rapid Prototype company established, in Brisbane, to produce stronger prototype parts for product development engineers and designers. Started in September 2006, Plastic Ink has over 20 years experience with Rapid Prototype processes and product development. Plastic Ink is leading the way in demonstrating a broader application of it's technology in the industry.

The Plastic Ink process uses Fused Deposition Modelling to create 3D parts from CAD data. The parts made are from a variety of engineering grade plastics and are stronger and more stable than other processes on the market. The process is similar to an ink jet printer that lays liquid ink onto paper, but instead of liquid ink we use Plastic Ink! Each pass by the print head leaves another layer, slowly each layer combines and grows to create a shape. Growing each layer this way using engineering grade plastics enables Plastic Ink parts can be used in real life testing scenarios or even as actual end products. So far Plastic Ink parts have been used on V8 Supercars, lawn movers, as tools for  thermo-forming, diffusers in swimming pools and as toys. The variety of uses is endless.

Plastic Ink's primary objective is assisting small to medium Australian businesses to work smarter and not harder – giving us more free time!!
